About the Artist
Ken Forbes is a Brooklyn - based artist specializing in multisensory art. Forbes creates using coffee and cacao mediums, as well as interactive artwork and technology, infused with elements of cubism and abstract expressionism. He curates immersive artistic experiences that delve into themes of the human experience - exploring mental health, the challenged faces by minorities and the underprivileged, and the essence of the divine feminine.
Forbes uses coffee and cacao as the base of his paintings, symbolizing a call to awaken to the reality that we are all simply different shades of brown - we are all human. He believes, “We need to wake up to the fact that we are all just different shades of brown… we are all human.”
Currently working from his Brooklyn studio, Forbes is an award - winning artist with work features at Miami’s Art Basel and showcased at Bitcoin Miami. \he also held the prestigious honor of residency in Manhattan’s historic Germania Building, once the home of Pop Art legend Roy Lichtenstein.
January 2025, Forbes will be moving his studio to downtown Manhattan in the world famous Oculus. The studio will also be a storefront and performance space for his brand, ArtBoy/ArtGirl - a brand promoting Forbes’s vision that we should all become the best versions of ourselves, so that we can all be better together.
